Factores culturales que inciden en la creación de spin-off universitarias. Un estudio en una universidad pública colombiana

Abstract

El objetivo del artículo es identificar los factores de la cultura organizacional que inciden sobre la generación de spin-off universitarias, mediante el estudio de caso en una institución de educación superior colombiana utilizando una metodología mixta. Por lo tanto, se construyó un modelo teórico relacionando cultura organizacional con spin-off, con el cual se identificaron rasgos de la cultura base a partir de una encuesta a 155 investigadores, complementada con un análisis de 18 documentos institucionales. Posteriormente, mediante entrevistas a 15 expertos, se definió la cultura deseada para fomentar las spin-off. Los resultados muestran tres rasgos de la cultura académica no considerados en la literatura previa, que son determinantes para el surgimiento de spin-off: universalidad, confianza e interdisciplinariedad, y como principal inhibidor, el temor al riesgo.
