Primera aproximación a la caracterización y medición de las industrias culturales en Cali

Abstract

En este documento se presentan los resultados de la caracterización y medición de las industrias culturales de Cali. Así mismo, se describe el panorama de estas industrias en la ciudad y se plantean los retos y actores necesarios para el florecimiento de la industria como motor de desarrollo del municipio. Se estima que la industria cultural pesa alrededor del 1,0% en el PIB y 2,7% en el empleo de la ciudad. Se encuentra que es un sector con altos niveles de informalidad de la empresa y del empleo, con bajos niveles de exportación y alta volatilidad en la producción y, hasta hace poco, el sector carecía por completo de políticas públicas orientadas a su desarrollo.
