La Distancia Psíquica Y El Desempeno Exportador: Un Reto Para La Pyme En La Era De La Globalización

Abstract

El objetivo de la investigación es presentar un análisis empírico de la relación entre la percepción de la Distancia Psíquica hacia los mercados internacionales por parte del gerente de la firma y el desempeno exportador, así como algunas características estructurales de la firma. El estudio es desarrollado en la Región de La Araucanía, Chile, en una muestra de ochenta y ocho empresas exportadoras, la mayoría pequenas y medianas (pymes), pertenecientes a los sectores agrícola y forestal. Los datos se analizaron con la prueba exacta de Fisher y test para varianzas iguales y distintas. Los resultados muestran una relación positiva entre la distancia psíquica y el desempeno exportador, así como con el tamano de la empresa.
