Abstract

Las tendencias en la década del noventa indican que en la economía colombiana, como resultado de la apertura económica, los distintos sectores y grupos empresariales, han buscado procesos de integración. Lo anterior implica la necesidad de fusionar, consolidar, adquirir y escindir negocios. Cualquiera de las modalidades enunciadas requiere la aplicación de un proceso de valoración; es decir, que la comprensión de la valoración de las companías con operaciones y en desarrollo fuese imperativa no sólo para los inversionistas, sino también para los administradores y para los directores de las empresas.
