Resena: La medición de la eficiencia y la productividad

Abstract

La selección de este material se hace con base en el creciente interés por evaluar los niveles de producción ante un entorno de recursos limitados. Si bien la eficiencia lleva implícita la idea de conseguir la mayor productividad posible, ambos elementos no son sinónimos; la productividad está determinada por la relación que existe entre los insumos utilizados y la cantidad de productos resultantes, mientras que la eficiencia describe cómo es la relación manifestada entre un nivel de producción observado y el nivel ideal de esta, con lo que destaca la importancia que tiene ahondar en el tema para una mejor comprensión.
