Relaciones de preferencia y elección social en una estructura difusa

Abstract

Autores como Prasanta Pattanaik [1997] encuentran en la lógicadifusa un modo de superar las restricciones de la condiciónde racionalidad económica neoclásica. Ellos se sirvende este instrumento matemático para hacer una reinterpretacióndel planteamiento de la elección social que Arrow[1951] modeló con relaciones de preferencia ajustadas a unalógica binaria.El propósito de este trabajo es doble. Por un lado se desarrollael planteamiento del Teorema de Imposibilidad deArrow [1951], resaltando la importancia de la transitividadimpuesta a las relaciones de preferencia como condición deracionalidad, y mostrando cómo la transitividad adquieredistintas formas cuando se incluyen relaciones de preferenciadifusas. De otra parte, se examinan las reglas de agregacióny las medidas del consenso propuestas por los autoresque estudian la elección social dentro de una estructuradifusa.
