Este artículo analiza las series de precios de la vivienda nueva en Bogotá, considerando el carácter espacial de este mercado. Para ello, se construyó una base de datos espacializada que incluye más de 17.000 registros y que permitió obtener la información sobre precios y áreas construidas, entre mayo de 1992 y abril de 2004. A partir de estas series se pudo establecer una estrecha relación estadística, entre el precio por metro cuadrado de las unidades de vivienda y su área construida; sin embargo, su causalidad no está claramente definida.
