La unidad reproducción - producción en las mujeres del sector urbano en Colombia

Abstract

Estudia la situación de las mujeres en las principales ciudades del país. Examina como contribuyen al proceso de reproducción a través del trabajo doméstico y se explicara por qué y cómo su contribución a ese proceso condiciona, por un lado, y limita por el otro, su participación en la fuerza laboral. Resalta la manera cómo el análisis del papel femenino en estas dos esferas permite evidenciar la existencia muy generalizada de una división sexual del trabajo doméstico, con todas las implicaciones que este hecho tiene para las mujeres involucradas, a quienes les exige una gran cantidad de trabajo no remunerado colocándolas en un situación de dependencia económica que afecta las relaciones familiares. También hace énfasis en el hecho que el análisis del papel de la mujer exige diferenciar la situación de las mujeres según su ubicación de clase.
