El cine documental 'radical' y la construcción de historias subalternas. Reflexiones en torno al film “Sabino Vive, las últimas fronteras” (2014)

Abstract

Este ensayo tiene por objetivo reflexionar sobre el papel que tiene el cine documental radical en la construcción histórica de las subalternidades, considerando la reciente emergencia de la producción cinematográfica como un tipo documento válido al estudio de la cultura y los procesos sociales. Para ello, se tomará el caso del documental “Sabino Vive, las últimas fronteras” producido por Carlos Azpúrua en el año 2014, el cual constituye un controversial ejemplo de la importancia que adquieren las relaciones de poder en el alcance y difusión de este tipo de material, afectando ello el posicionamiento de los contenidos que se expresan como un tipo de vestigio histórico, es decir, como una forma valida de representar e interpretar realidades sociales que comúnmente pasarían desapercibidas.
