La France en mal de qualité ?

Abstract

Les pertes de parts de marché à l’exportation de la France ne sont pas le résultat d’une mauvaise spécialisation géographique ou sectorielle mais plutôt d’une insuffisante compétitivité. Cette Lettre explore la dimension hors-prix de la compétitivité en utilisant un indice de qualité des exportations françaises, mesuré comme étant la capacité à maintenir ses parts de marché tout en pratiquant des prix élevés. Si le rapport qualité-prix des exportations françaises n’est globalement pas favorable, les performances sectorielles sont très hétérogènes : le luxe, l’aéronautique, le vin ou les appareils de distribution électrique, sont autant d’exceptions.
