Europawahl 2024 – was erwarten die Unternehmen in Deutschland?

Abstract

Anlässlich der Europawahl 2024 hat das ifo Institut im Auftrag der Stiftung Familienunternehmen eine Umfrage zum Thema Politik und Bürokratie der EU durchgeführt. Eine klare Mehrheit der Unternehmen in Deutschland bemängelt, dass die EU zu wenig für die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung unternimmt. Mehr als zwei Drittel der Befragten geben der EU in der Wirtschaftspolitik die Noten vier, fünf oder sechs. Ähnlich ernüchternd sind die Ergebnisse zum Thema Bürokratiebelastung. Statt dem von der EU angestrebten Bürokratieabbau spüren 87% der Befragten einen Anstieg der Bürokratiebelastung in ihrem Unternehmen in den vergangenen 24 Monaten. Um den akuten Schwierigkeiten zu begegnen, erwarten die Umfrageteilnehmenden von der EU zukünftig einen besonderen Fokus auf die Themen Bürokratieabbau, Sicherung der europäischen Wettbewerbsfähigkeit sowie Cybersecurity.
