Verbraucherpreise für Energie im internationalen Vergleich

Abstract

Der massive Anstieg der Energiepreise im Jahr 2022 hat sowohl zu einer vergrößerten Belastung der Budgets der privaten Haushalte als auch zu starken Auswirkungen auf die Wirtschaft geführt. Die bestehenden Preisunterschiede für Strom und Erdgas, die zwischen den G-7-Staaten bestehen, haben sich in jüngster Zeit vergrößert. Mit ein Grund ist die unterschiedliche Betroffenheit der Weltregionen von den Folgen des Angriffskriegs Russlands in der Ukraine. Zudem ist der Bepreisung von CO2 vor allem in Europa eine wachsende Bedeutung beizumessen. Durch eine Ausweitung des Angebots und verbesserte Energieeffizienz kann eine Preisdämpfung in Deutschland und anderen Staaten der EU erreicht werden. Zudem ist eine international vergleichbare Bepreisung von CO2anzustreben.
