Die Soziale Marktwirtschaft aus Bevölkerungsperspektive II/III: Was verbindet die Bevölkerung mit der Sozialen Marktwirtschaft?

Abstract

Bürger*innen haben oft unterschiedliche Vorstellungen von staatlichem Handeln. Eine Repräsentativumfrage unter 2 000 Bürger*innen legt nahe, dass die Befragten eine sehr heterogene Wahrnehmung der Sozialen Marktwirtschaft haben. Während eine Mehrheit von 49% an soziale Aspekte wie Fairness, Verteilung und soziale Absicherung denkt, assoziieren 34% marktwirtschaftliche Prozesse und 11% Wohlstand und Fortschritt mit der Sozialen Marktwirtschaft. 12% der Befragten hegen ausgeprägt negative Einstellungen gegenüber der deutschen Wirtschaftsordnung, und 11% können diese mit keinem konkreten Thema assoziieren. Nur knapp ein Viertel der Befragten verbindet mit der Sozialen Marktwirtschaft explizit sowohl soziale als auch wirtschaftliche Themen.
