Wie viel Gewalt verursacht der Profifußball in Deutschland?

Abstract

Auf Grundlage aller in Deutschland ausgetragenen Profifußballspiele im Zeitraum von Januar 2011 bis Mai 2015 sowie der Polizeilichen Kriminalstatistik des Bundeskriminalamts zeigt sich, dass die Anzahl der Gewaltdelikte an Fußballspieltagen gegenüber den selben Wochentagen im Monat ohne Fußballpartien um 21,5% steigt. Insgesamt stehen 8% der Gewaltdelikte in den betroffenen Gemeinden im Zusammenhang mit Fußballspielen – was in dem untersuchten Zeitraum Kosten von etwa 194 Mio. Euro verursacht.
