Additional Tax Revenues Despite Nuclear Fuel Tax Refund – On the Results of the Tax Revenue Estimate of November 2017

Abstract

The "Tax Revenue Estimates" Working Group has upwardly revised its tax revenue forecasts, despite the decision to refund nuclear fuel tax. This was primarily due to both the positive development in tax revenues this year, as well as the German federal government's more optimistic assessment of the economic situation. The record level reached by the tax rate should be offset by long-term tax breaks.
