Cover Against Old-Age Poverty

Abstract

In his article Robert Fenge, University of Rostock, points out that proposals for supplementary pensions financed by tax or contributions abandon the basic principle of the pension system, namely the more you pay in, the more you get out. In his view, further development of the existing pension system is preferable to restructuring via supplementary pensions.
