Modern soccer - remarks from an economic viewpoint

Abstract

In the current media reports on soccer, reference is often made to "modern soccer". The impression arises that a specific game strategy guarantees success and is fundamentally superior to other strategies. The area of evolutionary finance has a contribution to make to this discussion.
