Ifo Architects Survey: slight worsening of the business climate

Author

Listed:
  • Erich Gluch

Abstract

The business climate of freelance architects worsened slightly at the beginning of the first quarter of 2010, according to the latest survey results of the Ifo Institute. The clouding of the business climate is based on somewhat more unfavourable assessments of the business situation. The average depth of order reserves of the surveyed architects continued to expand. At the end of 2009 the order cushion amounted to ca. 5.6 months. This is the highest value in 15 years. A year ago, order reserves were half a month smaller.
