Weltwirtschaft: Klimaindikator stabilisiert sich auf hohem Niveau

Abstract

Im Juli 2004 hat das ifo Institut zum 85. Mal seine weltweite Umfrage "Ifo World Economic Survey" kurz WES, bei etwa 1200 Wirtschaftsexperten multinationaler Unternehmen und kompetenter Institutionen in 89 Ländern durchgeführt. Nach den Ergebnissen der Umfrage bleibt die Weltkonjunktur weiterhin günstig Der WES-Indikator für das Weltwirtschaftsklima liegt zwar etwas niedriger als in der vorausgegangenen April-Umfrage, jedoch immer noch deutlich über seinem langjährigen Durchschnitt. Erneut haben sich die Urteile zur aktuellen Lage verbessert, während sich die Erwartungen für die nächsten sechs Monate leicht abschwächten. Insbesondere die nur leichte Abflachung der wirtschaftlichen Erwartungen und das hohe Niveau des Gesamtindikators sprechen für eine immer noch positive Entwicklung der Weltkonjunktur in der zweiten Jahreshälfte 2004.
