Economic Outlook: 2004 global recovery - 2005 the US loses steam

Abstract

This year's CESifo International Spring Conference will take place on 18 and 19 March 2004 at the British embassy in Berlin. On the first day the economic outlook of important world areas will be discussed. The second day will focus on economic developments in important areas of European industry. Jim O'Neill of Goldman Sachs will be one of the speakers. Here he presents a short appraisal of the development of the world economy and the economy of the US for the current year.
