    Abstract

    In Griechenland entwickelte sich die Konjunktur im Jahr 2002 - besser als ursprünglich erwartet - erheblich günstiger als im westeuropäischen Durchschnitt. Das reale Bruttoinlandsprodukt stieg um 4%. Die Lage auf dem Arbeitsmarkt besserte sich etwas, und die Arbeitslosenquote verringerte sich auf 9,9% im Jahresdurchschnitt. Mit 3,9% Anstieg blieb die Inflationsentwicklung bedenklich. 2003 dürfte das reale BIP um etwa 3% expandieren und die Arbeitslosenquote auf 9¾% fallen. Die Preise werden um 3½% über dem Niveau des Vorjahres liegen. 2004 wird das reale BIP um reichlich 3½% zunehmen, die Preise werden sich im Schnitt des Jahres um 3½% erhöhen, und die Arbeitslosenquote wird auf 9¼% sinken.
