    Abstract

    In der Schweiz setzte sich die seit Mitte 1999 zu beobachtende zügige konjunkturelle Erholung auch im Jahr 2000 fort. Das reale Bruttoinlandsprodukt dürfte etwa um 3,5% zugenommen haben, die Arbeitslosenquote sank auf knapp 2% und der Preisanstieg blieb mit einem Jahresdurchschnitt von 1,75% recht moderat. 2001 ist mit einer allmählichen Verlangsamung des Wirtschaftswachstums zu rechnen. Das reale BIP dürfte um etwa 2,5% steigen und die Arbeitslosenquote bei knapp 2% verharren. Für 2002 wird eine Expansion des BIP um 2,25% prognostiziert. Anfang dieses Jahres wurde mit der Inkraftsetzung des Sieben-Punkte-Abkommens mit der EU ein großer Schritt in Richtung Integration getan. Das Abkommen bringt große Vorteile für die schweizerische Wirtschaft, die bereits jetzt etwa zwei Drittel ihrer Im- und Exporte mit der EU abwickelt.
