Allgemeine Elektrizitätswirtschaft schränkt Investitionen weiter ein

Abstract

Die Unternehmen der allgemeinen Elektrizitätsversorgung haben ihre Investitionen im gesamten Bundesgebiet 1998 um 11% auf 10,3 Mrd. DM verringert. Das ergab die im Frühjahr 1999 gemeinsam von der Vereinigung Deutscher Elektrizitätswerke (VDEW) und dem ifo Institut durchgeführte Investitionserhebung. Den Planangaben der Elektrizitätsversorgungsunternehmen (EVU) zufolge sollten die Investitionen 1999 um 7% auf 11 Mrd. DM gesteigert werden. Da die EVU über einen technisch modernen Anlagenbestand verfügen, nur noch mit geringen Steigerungen des Stromverbrauchs rechnen und im Wettbewerb um Kunden und Märkte zu umfassender Kostendisziplin gezwungen sind, wollen sie mittelfristig die Investitionsausgaben deutlich zurückführen. Bis zum Ende des Planungszeitraums im Jahr 2003 dürften die Investitionen auf rund 7 Mrd. DM sinken.
