Neue Bundesländer : höhere Investitionen einiger Branchen gleichen die Rückgänge in anderen Industriezweigen nicht ganz aus

Abstract

Die Auswertung des ifo Investitionstests ergab, daß die ostdeutschen Industrieunternehmen 1998 mit rund 15,6 Mrd. DM zwar um etwa 5% weniger investieren dürften als 1997, pro Beschäftigten geben sie aber mit über 25000 DM immer noch um zwei Drittel mehr für Investitionen aus als die westdeutsche Industrie. Maßgeblich für das nach wie vor verhältnismäßig hohe Gesamtviveau sind einerseits Großprojekte (z.B. der chemischen und der elektrotechnischen Industrie), andererseits gewinnen erstmals aber auch konjunkturelle Einflüsse (z.B. im Maschinenbau) an Bedeutung.
