Bauunternehmen in den neuen Bundesländern : eigene Investitionsausgaben 1997 nochmals deutlich niedriger

Abstract

Der Artikel thematisiert die Ergebnisse des ifo Investitionstests im Baugewerbe in den neuen Bundesländern bezüglich ihrer Investitionsausgaben im Jahre 1997. Nach den Meldungen der 720 Betriebe ist mit einem erneuten Rückgang der Investitionsausgaben zu rechnen. Mit etwa 1,8 Mrd. DM haben die Firmen nicht einmal halb so hohe Anlagenkäufe geplant wie in den investitionsstarken Jahren 1992 bis 1994. Dies ist auf die erstmalige negative Entwicklung im Jahre 1996 nach dem vorigen Boom zurückzuführen, die sich fortzusetzen scheint. Während im Jahre 1996 das Bauhaupt- und das Baunebengewerbe ihre Budgets noch ungefähr gleich stark gekürzt haben, profitieren die Betrieb des Ausbau- und Installationsgewerbes jetzt offensichtlich davon, daß die Sanierung von Mietwohnungen weiterhin hoch subventioniert wird: Sie wollen im Jahre 1997 um rund 5% weniger investieren als im vergangenen Jahr.
