Westdeutsche Industrie : wieder auflebende Investitionstätigkeit

Abstract

Nach den Ergebnissen des ifo Investitionstests vom Frühjahr 1995 haben die Unternehmen des westdeutschen verarbeitenden Gewerbes trotz konjunktureller Erholung 1994 mit 67,6 Mrd. DM um 9% weniger investiert als 1993 (real: knapp 9%). Ursprünglich war ein Rückgang von lediglich 2% erwartet worden. Die Daten wurden bei knapp 2100 Unternehmen erhoben, auf die 47% der Investitionen im verarbeitenden Gewerbe Westdeutschlands entfallen. Sowohl die Investitionsintensität als auch Investitionsquote sind gegenüber 1993 zurückgegangen. Für 1995 errechnet sich aus den Meldungen ein Anstieg der Investitionen um nominal gut 12% (real: knapp 12%). Dabei werden die Ausgaben für Bauten und Ausrüstungen im Investitionsgüter produzierenden Gewerbe am stärksten erhöht. Hauptinvestitionsmotive sind Erweiterungsinvestitionen. Die Produktionskapazität wird 1995 lediglich um gut 1% zunehmen. Knapp 60% der Unternehmen wollen im Zuge ihrer Investitionen neue Produktions- und Verfahrenstechniken einführen. Die Umfrage ergab, daß fast 10% der westdeutschen Industrieunternehmen Produktionsstätten im Ausland haben bzw. diese in naher Zukunft errichten wollen.
