Deutsche Elektroindustrie konnte Wettbewerbsposition insgesamt halten : Elektronik bleibt schwach

Abstract

Die deutsche Elektroindustrie (einschließlich EDV) konnte im Zeitraum 1984 bis 1993 ihre Wettbewqerbsposition auf dem Weltmarkt halten. Dies beweisen ein im Zeitablauf etwa gleichgebliebener Anteil der deutschen Elektroausfuhren am Weltelektroexport, eine nur wenig veränderte kompartive Wettbewerbsposition (Elektroindustrie im Vergleich mit dem verarbeitenden Gewerbe) und ein nur leicht rückläufiger deutscher Anteil an den Elektroerfindungen. Die Elektroindustrie der Bundesrepublick Deutschland war im Durchschnitt der Jahre 1984 bis 1992 mit rund 15% der Weltelektroausfuhren der Drittgrößte Elektroexporteur der Welt nach Japan und USA. Der Anteil der Bundesrepublik Deutschland an den Elektroerfindungen weltweit erreichte im Durchschnitt 14%. Die Wettbewerbsposition einzelner Erzeugnisbereiche unterscheidet sich erheblich vom Durchschnitt der Branche. Wettbewerbsstark sind die Bereiche der sogenannten traditionellen Elektrotechnik (z.B. Elektrizitätserzeugung, -umwandlung und -verteilung). Wettbewerbsschwach sind die Bereiche, die anspruchsvolle Elektronik (Bauelemente, Unterhaltungselektronik und Datenverarbeitung) herstellen oder nutzen.
