Produktivität, Arbeitskosten, Beschäftigung und Verteilung im Konjunkturverlauf der Industrie

Abstract

Der Beitrag befaßt sich mit den Zusammenhängen zwischen der trendmäßig wachsenden, aber konjunkturell schwankenden Produktionstätigkeit der westdeutschen Industrie einerseits und dem Arbeitseisatz, dem Produktivitätsfortschritt, der Entwicklung der wichtigsten Kostenarten sowie der Verteilung der Wertschöpfung auf Arbeits- und Unternehmereinkommen andererseits. Die Zusammenhänge sind teilweise so stabil, daß der Versuch gewagt wird, daraus Rückschlüsse auf die Gewinne der westdeutschen Industrie (Bergbau und verarbeitendes Gewerbe, Unternehmen bzw. Betriebe mit 20 und mehr Beschäftigten) in den Jahren 1993 und 1994 zu ziehen: Nachdem 1992 der Jahresüberschuß um gut 50% auf 23 Mrd. DM gesunken war, dürfte er 1993 auf 20 Mrd. DM geschrumpft sein. Für 1994 ist in der Industrie mit einem realen Produktionsanstieg um 3,5% und einer Abnahme des Arbeitsvolumens um 1,8% zu rechnen. Auf der Basis der hier getroffenen Annahmen ergibt sich ein deutlicher Wiederanstieg des Jahresüberschusses auf etwa 50 Mrd. DM, also eine Größenordnung wie sie 1989 und 1990 erreicht wurde.
