Abstract

1992 hat das reale BIP wahrscheinlich um gut 1,5% zugenommen; das Ergebnis wurde allerdings durch dürrebedingte Ernteausfälle um etwa 0,5 Prozentpunkte gedrückt. Die seit Januar 1993 amtierende, von Sozialdemokraten geführte Regierung wird grundsätzlich an der stabilisierungs- und konsolidierungsorientierten Wirtschaftspolitik festhalten. Die konjunkturelle Aufwärtsbewegung dürfte sich 1993 fortsetzten; bei wieder normaler Ernte zeichnet sich ein Anstieg des realen BIP von knapp 1,5% ab. Die Situation auf dem Arbeitsmarkt bleibt allerdings schlecht. Die Arbeitslosenquote dürfte sich im Jahresdurchschnitt bei etwa 11,5% stabilisieren. Für 1994 kann mit einer leichten Beschleunigung des gesamtwirtschaftlichen Wachstums gerechnet werden, es wird deutlicher als 1993 von allen Komponenten der Nachfrage getragen. Die Beschäftigung dürfte zwar nicht weiter zurückgehen, die Arbeitslosenquote aber nur wenig sinken.
