Innovationsaktivitäten auf hohem Niveau stabilisiert

Abstract

Die Ergebnisse des seit 1979 durchgeführten ifo Innovationstests zeigen, daß die westdeutsche Industrie die achtziger Jahre nicht nur dazu genutzt hat, um ausgeschöpfte Wachstumsspielräume wahrzunehmen. Sie hat auch ihre Innovationsanstrengungen intensiviert, um der technologischen Herausforderung durch die USA und Japan zu begegnen. Einen Indikator für den Erfolg der Innovationstätigkeiten stellt die Umsatzstruktur dar. Der Saldo aus dem Umsatzanteil von Produkten in der Markteinführungs- und dem Anteil von Erzeugnissen in der Schrumpfungsphase verbesserte sich seit 1982 kontinuierlich. Ein positives Bild zeigen auch die Absatzmarkterwartungen für die nächsten drei bis fünf Jahre.
