Wichtigste Aussagen der Frühjahrsdiagnose der Forschungsinstitute zu Ostdeutschland

Abstract

In diesem Beitrag sind die wichtigsten Aussagen der jüngsten Gemeinschaftsdiagnose der Forschungsinstitute zur ostdeutschen Wirtschaft zusammengefaßt. Dabei wird die aktuelle gesamtwirtschaftliche Lage geschildert und ein Ausblick auf die weitere Entwicklung im laufenden Jahr gegeben. Demnach könnte es in der zweiten Jahreshälfte zu einer leichten Belebung kommen. Im Jahresdurchschnitt wird die gesamtwirtschaftliche Produktion wegen des bisherigen starken Rückgangs noch um ein Fünftel unter dem Vorjahresstand liegen. Der Beschäftigungsrückgang wird sich weiter fortsetzen. In ihrem Gutachten haben die Institute der Lohnpolitik in Ostdeutschland schlechte Noten erteilt. Um Dauersubventionen an ineffiziente Unternehmen zu vermeiden, sollten klare zeitliche Begrenzungen für die staatlichen Hilfen festgelegt werden.
