Industrie verstärkt Engagement in Ostdeutschland - Ergebnisse einer Sonderumfrage des ifo-Instituts

Abstract

Nach den vorläufigen Ergebnissen einer Sonderumfrage, an der sich bislang rd.2.250 Unternehmen beteiligten, die sich nahezu über alle Branchen und Größenklassen der Industrie streuen, ist fast jede zweite westdeutsche Unternehmung am ostdeutschen Markt aktiv. Für 1991 planen 40% (1990 17%; 1992 41%) der Befragten in den Produktionsbereich zu investieren. Wichtigste Motive für Investitionsvorhaben sind: Marktnähe, "DDR"-Markt als Brückenkopf für das Osteuropageschäft. Wichtigste Investitionshemmnisse sind: Probleme mit Bewertungsfragen; Infrastrukturmängel; Schwierigkeiten beim Grundstückserwerb; Sanierung von Altanlagen und administrative Verzögerungen.Nach dem jetzigen Stand der Berechnungen wird das Volumen der Investitionen der westdeutschen Industrie in Ostdeutschland im nächsten Jahr bei ca. 10 Mrd. DM liegen.
