Abstract

Weltweit rechnet man damit, daß sich die Wirtschaftslage in den nächsten sechs bis zwölf Monaten verschlechtern wird. Nur im Durchschnitt der Niedrigeinkommensländer dominieren nach wie vor positive Erwartungen. Im Hinblick auf die Entwicklung des Außenhandels dominieren weltweit nach wie vor positive Erwartungen. Besonders stark verbreitet ist die Skepsis bzgl. der Außenhandelsentwicklung in Osteuropa. Die Inflationserwartungen sind im Durchschnitt aller 59 Länder nur geringfügig angestiegen. Das Investitionsklima für ausländische Investoren wurde als zufriedenstellend beurteilt. Es wird erwartet, daß das Weltsozialprodukt innerhalb der nächsten 3-5 Jahre durchschnittlich um real 2,7% zunehmen wird. Im Durchschnitt aller 50 Länder rechnet man damit, daß die Gewinnmargen im privaten Sektor sowohl von der Kosten- als auch der Nachfrageseite her infolge der Golfkrise negativ tangiert werden.
