Statistische Untiefen der Wirtschafts- und Währungsunion

Abstract

Die wirtschaftliche Vereinigung der beiden deutschen Teilstaaten macht die statistische Erfassung innerdeutscher Transaktionen schwieriger. Die Fehlermargen sind allerdings noch nicht gravierend: 1990 dürfte sich der Fehler beim privaten Verbrauch, der durch die Nichterfassung des innerdeutschen Reisesaldos entsteht, bei 0,5 Prozentpunkten bewegen. Die Unschärfen in einer - isoliert weitergeführten - westdeutschen VGR werden in dem Maße an Gewicht gewinnen, in dem der Dienstleistungssaldo zwischen dem Gebiet der Bundesrepublik und der DDR zunimmt. Für eine gemeinsame Gesamtrechnung beider Staaten ist die immer unvollständiger werdende statistische Datenbasis freilich ohne Belang: Erfassungsfehler im innerdeutschen Waren- und Dienstleistungsverkehr werden sich in einer gesamtdeutschen Bilanz saldieren.
