Investitionsboom im Großhandel beendet?

Abstract

Die Autoren analysieren das Investitionsverhalten des deutschen Großhandels mit Hilfe der Tabellen des ifo-Investitionstests. Die Großhandelsunternehmen konnten ihre Umsätze im Jahre 1989 um 6,4% (1988: +5,6%) erhöhen; dieser Zuwachs ist jedoch größtenteils auf Preissteigerungen zurückzuführen. Real errechnete sich nur ein Plus von 1,5% (1988: +3,9%), das deutlich unter der Expansion des Bruttosozialprodukts (real: +4%) und auch des Einzelhandelsumsatzes (real: +2,2%) blieb. Auf Grund des Umsatzzuwachses bewegen sich die Investitionskennziffern auf sehr hohem Niveau, die Investitionsquote stieg 1988 im Durchschnitt von 1,2% auf 1,3%.Aus der Zusammensetzung der Investitionen (Tabelle) zeigt sich, daß vor allem die Ausgaben für Geschäftsausstattungen gesteigert wurden. Auch 1990 werden voraussichtlich die Investitionsausgaben stärker expandieren als der Umsatz. Die bedeutendsten Investitionshindernisse waren die schlechte Ertragslage und Finanzierungsschwierigkeiten.
