ifo Konjunkturprognose Frühjahr 2024: Deutsche Wirtschaft wie gelähmt

Abstract

Die deutsche Wirtschaft ist wie gelähmt. Unter Unternehmen und Haushalten ist die Stimmung schlecht und die Unsicherheit hoch. Im laufenden Quartal dürfte die Wirtschaftsleistung ihren Rückgang zunächst fortsetzen und um 0,1% im Vergleich zum Vorquartal sinken. Zu einer spürbaren gesamtwirtschaftlichen Erholung dürfte es erst in der zweiten Jahreshälfte kommen. Insgesamt wird das preisbereinigte Bruttoinlandsprodukt in diesem Jahr nur um 0,2% im Vergleich zum Vorjahr zunehmen. Im kommenden Jahr wird die Wirtschaftsleistung dann um 1,5% zulegen. Damit wurde die Wachstumsprognose für das laufende Jahr im Vergleich zur ifo Konjunkturprognose Winter 2023 deutlich um 0,7 Prozentpunkte herabgesetzt und für das Jahr 2025 leicht um 0,2 Prozentpunkte angehoben. Anders als erwartet, befindet sich die deutsche Wirtschaft im Winterhalbjahr 2023/24 in einer Rezession. Insbesondere die Erholung der Industriekonjunktur setzt erst später ein.
