Fachkräftemangel wird zunehmend zur Belastung für die deutsche Wirtschaft

Abstract

Im Rahmen der ifo Konjunkturumfragen erhebt das ifo Institut einmal pro Quartal Daten zum Fachkräftemangel bei ca. 9 000 deutschen Unternehmen. Mit 43,0% aller Umfrageteilnehmer gab dabei im Oktober ein so großer Anteil wie noch nie an, dass ihre Geschäfte derzeit durch einen Mangel an qualifizierten Arbeitskräften behindert werden. Im Juli lag der Wert mit 34,4% noch deutlich niedriger. Vor allem in einigen Dienstleistungsbereichen, wie dem Beherbergungsgewerbe, Transport und Logistik oder der Arbeitskräfteüberlassung, klagt der Großteil der Betriebe über Probleme bei der Suche nach qualifiziertem Personal. Aber auch in nahezu allen anderen befragten Wirtschaftsbereichen gewinnt das Problem des Fachkräftemangels derzeit zunehmend an Bedeutung. Angesichts des demografischen Wandels dürften Arbeitskräfteknappheiten auch in Zukunft eine große Herausforderung für die deutsche Wirtschaft darstellen.
