Die konsequente Nutzung von Daten zur effektiven Bekämpfung der Pandemie

Abstract

Die Corona-Pandemie hat viele Schwächen des öffentlichen Sektors in Deutschland offengelegt. Dazu gehört auch der Rückstand in der Digitalisierung und die mangelnde Erhebung und Verfügbarkeit von Daten. Statt in der Krise datengestützt zu agieren, bewegen sich Politik und Entscheidungsträger des öffentlichen Sektors weiterhin in einer Datenwüste, die eine effektive Krisenbekämpfung erschwert. Die Situation hat sich selbst über ein Jahr nach Beginn der Pandemie kaum verändert. Durch eine verbesserte Datenerhebung und ein datenbasiertes Monitoring könnten zielgerichtete und effektive Maßnahmen proaktiv und lokal ergriffen werden, statt primär auf flächendeckende und teure Lockdowns zurückgreifen zu müssen.
