ifo Konjunkturprognose Frühjahr 2021: Deutsche Wirtschaft taumelt in die dritte Coronawelle

Abstract

Im Herbst 2020 nahm das Infektionsgeschehen mit dem Coronavirus wieder spürbar an Fahrt auf und hat sich zuletzt erneut beschleunigt. Dadurch verschiebt sich die konjunkturelle Erholung, die ursprünglich für das Frühjahr 2021 erwartet wurde, zeitlich im Jahresverlauf nach hinten. Das Bruttoinlandsprodukt dürfte in diesem Jahr um 3,7% zulegen und im kommenden Jahr um 3,2%. Im Vergleich zur ifo Konjunkturprognose Winter 2020 wurde damit die Wachstumsrate für das Jahr 2021 um 0,5 Prozentpunkte gesenkt und für das Jahr 2022 um 0,7 Prozentpunkte angehoben. Betrachtet zusammengefasste Wirtschaftsleistung der Jahre 2020 bis 2022, belaufen sich die Kosten der Coronakrise nach dieser Prognose auf 405 Mrd. Euro.
