Zwanzig Jahre Niederlassung Dresden des ifo Instituts

Abstract

Am 23. September 1993 wurde die Niederlassung Dresden des Münchner IFO INSTITUTS FÜR WIRTSCHAFTSFORSCHUNG feierlich eröffnet. Die Sächsische Staatsregierung, die maßgeblich auf die Gründung hingewirkt hatte, wollte da mit eine wirtschaftswissenschaftliche Forschungseinrichtung in Sachsen etablieren, die sich an den spezifischen Belangen der ostdeutschen Wirtschaftsentwicklung orientiert und den politischen Entscheidern wissenschaftlich fundierte Handlungsempfehlungen geben kann. Diesem Anspruch stellen sich die Wissenschaftler der Niederlassung Dresden des IFO INSTITUTS mit großem Engagement seit 20 Jahren.
