Technologiebericht Sachsen 2009 : Zusammenfassung

Abstract

Innovationen sind in einer modernen Volkswirtschaft eine wesentliche Voraussetzung für ein dauerhaft hohes Wohlstandsniveau. Die Wirtschaftspolitik benötigt daher aktuelle Informationen über die Innovationsaktivitäten in Wirtschaft und Wissenschaft, um etwaige Schwachstellen frühzeitig erkennen und ausräumen zu können. Dabei sind sinnvollerweise alle relevanten Stufen des Innovationsprozesses vom Bildungssystem über Forschung und Entwicklung bis hin zur Umsetzung von Innovationsergebnissen in marktfähige Produkte und kostensenkende Verfahren in gleichem Maße zu berücksichtigen. Vor diesem Hintergrund hat das ifo Institut, NL Dresden, zusammen mit dem Niedersächsischen Institut für Wirtschaftsforschung (NIW) im Auftrag der Sächsischen Staatsregierung eine umfassende Bestandsaufnahme der technologischen Leistungsfähigkeit des Freistaats Sachsen im Regionenvergleich erarbeitet. Die Ergebnisse dieser Studie wurden kürzlich in Gestalt des Sächsischen Technologieberichts 2009 veröffentlicht und werden hier kurz zusammengefasst.
