Bekommen die ostdeutschen Frauen wirklich weniger Nachwuchs? : ein Ost-West-Vergleich

Abstract

In der Diskussion um Geburtenzahlen in Deutschland werden immer wieder die Unterschiede in der Kinderzahl der Frauen in Ost- und Westdeutschland betont. Basierend auf der zusammengefassten Geburtenziffer wird behauptet, dass ostdeutsche Frauen weniger Kinder gebären würden als Frauen in Westdeutschland. In diesem Beitrag werden Probleme diskutiert, die im Zusammenhang mit dieser Maßzahl auftreten können. Es wird eine alternative Berechnungsmethode vorgestellt, die ebenfalls die endgültige Kinderzahl der Frauen misst, den wahren Wert aber genauer wiedergibt. Außerdem wird untersucht, wie groß der Anteil der Frauen ist, die keine Kinder bekommen. Zu allen Ergebnissen wird ein Ost-West-Vergleich durchgeführt.
