Sächsische Industrie hält Schritt im Innovationsprozeß : Innovationen und Investitionen

Abstract

Innovation stellen eine der Hauptdeterminanten für einzel- und gesamtwirtschaftliches Wachstum dar. Anhand der Ergebnisse des ifo Innovationstests aus den Jahren 1990 bis 1998 wird die Entwicklung der Innovationsaktivitäten der deutschen Industrie in Ost und West - unter besonderer Berücksichtigung der Situation in Sachsen - sowie die Bedeutung der sie beeinflussenden ökonomischen und technologischen Rahmenbedingungen dargestellt. Die Befunde belegen, daß Niveau und Struktur der Innovationstätigkeit der ostdeutschen Industrie insgesamt gesehen in weiten Bereichen mit der westdeutscher Unternehmen vergleichbar ist. Trotz der positiven Entwicklungen bestehen weiterhin Innovationshemmnisse, wobei die jüngsten Befragungsergebnisse auf ein für die sächsischen Unternehmen günstiges Innovationsklima hindeuten.
