Der sächsische Arbeitsmarkt im April 1998

Abstract

Die Zahl der Arbeitslosen hat in Deutschland im April 1998 spürbar abgenommen.Auch in Sachsen ist die Arbeitslosigkeit im April zurückgegangen. Die Arbeitslosenquote lag bei 19,9%, 1,1% weniger als im Vormonat. Sachsen wies damit weiterhin nach Berlin (18,4%) die zweitniedrigste Quote innerhalb der neuen Bundesländer auf. Der Rückgang der Arbeitslosigkeit dürfte hauptsächlich jahreszeitlichen Effekten sowie der Zunahme arbeitsmarktpolitischer Förderungen zuzuschreiben sein. Gleichzeitig konnten die sächsischen Arbeitsämter im April das bisher höchste Stellenangebot für einen Monat registrieren.
