Der sächsische Arbeitsmarkt im Dezember 1997

Abstract

Der vorliegende Artikel gibt einen Überblick über die Entwicklung des Arbeitsmarktes im Freistaat Sachsen für den Monat Dezember 1997 und liefert in Tabellen und Grafiken die wichtigsten Eckdaten der Entwicklung. Demnach erhöhte sich im Berichtsmonat die Zahl der Arbeitslosen um 21.500 auf 403.100. Im Vergleich zum Vorjahresmonat beträgt der Zuwachs sogar 81.900, das entspricht einer Steigerung von 25,5%. Die Arbeitslosenquote kletterte auf 19,8%. Das hohe Niveau der Erwerbslosigkeit in Sachsen dürfte auf die ungünstigen Rahmenbedingungen in ganz Ostdeutschland zurückzuführen sein. Für die kommenden Wintermonate wird mit einem weiteren kräftigen Anstieg der Arbeitslosigkeit in Sachsen gerechnet. Für Ende Februar sind 430.000 oder noch mehr erwerbslose Frauen und Männer zu erwarten.
