Der sächsische Arbeitsmarkt im August 1997

Abstract

Der vorliegende Bericht informiert über die Arbeitsmarktentwicklung in Sachsen im August 1997. Bundesweit stieg die Arbeitslosenzahl auf 4,372 Millionen Erwerbslose. Innerhalb der neuen Länder war Sachsen besonders stark von der steigenden Arbeitslosigkeit betroffen. Die Zahl der Männer und Frauen stieg um 8.700 auf 381.900 an. Die Arbeitslosenquote kletterte um 0,5 Prozentpunkte auf 18,8%. In weiteren Absätzen analysiert der Autor, inwieweit Jugendliche, Frauen und Männer von der Arbeitslosigkeit betroffen waren. Innerhalb dieser Gruppierungen bestehen erhebliche Unterschiede, wobei insbesondere die Anzahl der jugendlichen Erwerbslosen im Oktober durch weitere Ausbildungsmöglichkeiten gesenkt werden kann. Für den interessierten Leser finden sich noch Tabellen und Abbildungen, die die wichtigsten Eckdaten des sächsischen Arbeitsmarktes aufzeigen.
