Weg zur Dienstleistungsgesellschaft darf keine Einbahnstraße sein

Abstract

Der Strukturwandel führt zu einer Schrumpfung des primären Sektors, zu einem Verlust der bedeutenden Rolle des Produzierenden Gewerbes und zu einer Expansion des Dienstleistungssektors. Durch den immer größer werdenden Bedarf an Dienstleistungen, ist der Beschäftigungseffekt positiv, allerdings unter der Einschränkung wachsender Rationalisierungspotentiale durch verbesserte Kommunikationstechnologien. Weiterhin ist eine stark entwickelte Tertiärisierung der Industrie auffallend, die aus dem Wettbewerbsdruck entstanden ist. Die Verknüpfung von Industrieerzeugnissen und ergänzenden Dienstleistungen scheint der Schlüssel zur Erzielung von Weltmarkterfolgen zu sein. Im Rahmen der Diskussion zum Standort Deutschland, muß ein marktwirtschaftlicher Ordnungsrahmen geschaffen werden, der die zukunftsträchtigen Industrie- und Dienstleistungsbranchen unterstützt und dadurch die Wachstumspotentiale nutzbar macht.
