Der sächsische Arbeitsmarkt im April 1996

Abstract

Infolge des verspäteten Frühjahrsaufschwungs fiel die Arbeitslosenzahl in Deutschland in diesem Jahr erst im April unter die Vier-Millionen-Marke. Insgesamt wurden 3,967 Mill. Menschen ohne Arbeit registriert, 174.300 weniger als im März, aber 362.000 mehr als im April 1995. In ähnlicher Weise entwickelten sich auch die Arbeitsmarktdaten in den neuen Bundesländern und auch in Sachsen. Zuletzt wurden in Ostdeutschland 1,198 Mill. Erwerbslose gezählt, das entspricht einem Rückgang um 75.000 gegenüber dem Vormonat, allerdings auch einem Anstieg um 157.000 im Vergleich zum Vorjahresmonat. Im Freistaat Sachsen verminderte sich die Arbeitslosenzahl von März auf April dieses Jahres um 23.600 auf einen Stand von 333.700. Das waren jedoch 45.300 mehr arbeitslose Frauen und Männer als noch vor zwölf Monaten.
