Handwerk : Stimmung und Wirtschaftslage gut

Abstract

Die Entwicklung des Handwerks zeichnet sich durch anhaltende Wachstumsdynamik aus. Wesentlich dazu bei trägt die Bauwirtschaft, denn die konjunkturelle Entwicklung des Handwerks hängt maßgeblich von der Nachfrage im Bausektor ab. Ende 1989 gab es in Sachsen 30.798 private Handwerker sowie 905 Produktionsgenossenschaften des Handwerks. Bis heute nahm die Zahl der Handwerksbetriebe ständig zu. Ende 1994 erreichte sie rd. 46.700. Im Vergleich mit den anderen neuen Bundesländern weist Sachsen die meisten Handwerksbetriebe auf. Der Umsatz des sächsischen Handwerks ist 1993 gegenüber dem Vorjahr um 29,2 % gestiegen. Eindrucksvoll war die Wachstumsdynamik im Bau- und Ausbaugewerbe, das 50,7 % mehr Umsatz erwirtschaftete als ein Jahr zuvor. Der aktuellen Statistik zufolge erzielte das Handwerk im 3. Quartal 1994 eine Zunahme von 24,5 % gegenüber dem Vorjahresquartal, dies bedeutet eine weitere beachtliche Steigerung, die wiederum mit dem Umsatzanstieg im Bau- und Ausbaugewerbe (+36,6 %) korreliert.Infolge der Beschäftigungszunahme stiegen in Sachsen auch die Betriebsgröße, 1993 waren durchschnittlich 8,1 Beschäftigte je Unternehmen tätig.
