Rohstoffpreise steigen als Folge der weltwirtschaftlichen Belebung
Abstract
Die Arbeitsgruppe Rohstoffpreise der Vereinigung Europäischer Konjunkturforschungsinstitute hat am 29. und 30. September 1994 in Paris ihre aktuellen Preis-prognosen erörtert. Auf den Märkten für Industrierohstoffe wird sich in Anbetracht der insgesamt günstigeren Wachstumsaussichten der Industrieproduktion die konjunkturelle Belebung der Nachfrage nach Rohstoffen fortsetzen, allerdings nicht ganz so rasch wie im laufenden Jahr. Der Bedarf der Verarbeiter expandiert weiter, jedoch werden die Vorräte weniger stark erhöht. Der seit 1990 zu verzeichnende Trend sinkender Preise für Industrierohstoffe wurde zu Beginn des Jahres von einer kräftigen Hausse abgelöst. Für 1994 ist mit einem Preisanstieg um 16 % und für 1995 mit einer Rate in der gleichen Größenordnung zu rechnen; im ersten Halbjahr 1996 wird eine Preisberuhigung erwartet. Von einem vergleichsweise niedrigen Niveau ausgehend, verzeichnen die Preise für Nahrungs- und Genußmittel seit Mitte 1992 einen deutlichen Anstieg. Während er 1993 zunächst nur 3 % ausmachte, ist für 1994 mit 27 % nahezu von einer Verzehnfachung der Rate auszugehen.
